and why not? I've sold off my PS2 and my Xbox... only systems I own anymore are my NES, SNES, Gamecube, and DS... (and one solitary PS1 for when I want to play either Chocobo Racing or Chocobo Dungeon 2 again).

As for the name? If it's a real thing, then so be it... I was happy with Revolution, but if it's to be "WII", then big frikkin' deal... Really, who cares? If it'll have Mario and Zelda on it... It's good enough for me...

Well, I kind of knew that it was THE name for the new console, I'd asked the Nintendo Rep. when they were at my work (Best Buy)... and, sure enough, he said, "Yup, it's the real name, we were told about it a day before the announcement".

From playing Wii sports, I can tell you its a lot of fun, so Im looking forward to that.

Now, since Zelda will keep me busy for a long time, I dont have a rush to buy mroe than one game at launch .. but heres other games that Im interested in:

-Trauma Center
-Elebits
-Red Steel
-Excitetruck
-Far Cry


Oh, and MATSUNO is making a Wii game :D:D:D:D

I don't see what Ninty has going with the release date though, I was expecting them to be releasing it before the PS3 launch, not aferwards. The price is still pretty good, coming with Wii sports is a great bonus, could have been cheaper I reckon, the so-called Wii60 might be less appealing in some gamers eyes now. Still I have to give Ninty a thumbs up for not screwing the PAL release dates like Sony, still too freaking expensive though. God damn region lock.

On the contrary; releasing right after Sony gives them an advantage.

Playstation 3 shortage:

What's the natural step to take? Save $350 and get a Wii. Better yet, get Trauma Center and still save $300.

Actually, the PS3 is region free, so in theory from Europe you could get one from EBay, get a power converter and import your games from the US and be just fine.

Went to the Smiths at 6:20 am (they opened at 7), me and my friend Dustin were 21st and 22nd on the line, they had 25 Wii's. About ten minutes after we showed up, 30 more people did, talk about good timing.

So, got the system, got Zelda, my wireless internet doesn't like the Wii so my plans to get cable have speeded up. Making Mii's is fun, Wii sports is allright, Zelda looks amazing. Remote and everything works well ... but I knew that from work already so nothing new there.

OK, back to Final Fantasy XII. I cannot possibly manage Zelda and FF at the same time, priorities, don'cha know
