Spider Man 2 is worse than those movies. Vin Diesel is also more entertaining than the entire cast of the aforementioned put together.

Meh, Harry Potter. Let me put it this way... if people MY age were reading the series and enjoying it, what was that to say of the intellect required to read them? It's not to say I didn't enjoy them, but I don't prize peoples' choices in books (most people from school I knew were captivated with smut which, once you've read one, you've read them all). |

Smut? I wish to hear more of this tale. |
|
No, because if there's any more of this, then the topic will belong in the 'What do you do When You're Home Alone?' thread. ^_^ |

:o |

Take note of this, SHMFod, for it may never happen again... Rahul has been made speechless.
Total checkmate, so king me - I've decapitated your rook  |
staff |
Decapitated my rook? I hope that's not a sexual reference. |
|
Nope. A rook is too big -_- |

I see. I didn't know you had a tightness problem. That's too bad. I feel sorry for SquenixRising. Maybe you should try one of those special gradual elastic band solutions? |
|
....and this is the reason I never open my mouth about anything sexually related. I'll now go hide in a hole and cry in the desolation of the lost innocence my virgin eyes just gave to the screen.
*ifrits*

I figured these icons I've come across during my interweb travels would be appropriate, since they involve both Smut AND Harry Potter:

Speaking of sexuality and Harry Potter, they say that there is a hidden Hot Cauldron Mod that can be used to access hidden scenes in the new book that have Harry hooking up with all manner of creatures |

Speaking of the Half-Blood Prince I have yet to burst forth and relentlessly go on about how bloody good that book is. I'll spare you a dirty great big post, but a combination of the wait and the fact that everything I've ever wanted to happen in Harry Potter now has occured. Fantastic book, read it, right now. |

VERY good book... very sad.... i cried, yeah i'm a dork, but whatever... it gave me the urge to read the entire series again... i'm currently halfway through COS now.... and there are so many... subliminal... hints so far through the 1st and 2nd books.... rawr... |

So does this mean Harry gave up the whiny teenager act? |
staff |
I just finished it this morning. No, he's not as whiny, but he makes up for it with obsessing over a suspected nogoodnik.
It's still probably the best, if not one of the best books in the series. |
|
It was good, but it leaves me wandering what she's going to put on the binding of the... Nevermind, forgot not everyone has read it... |
|
yes... please! not to sound like a huge nerd but please no spoilers. i'm still in korea and my stupid sister hasn't sent the book yet. i'll be home in exactly one week though! so feel free to talk about it in a week. dang, i really want to read it. *sigh.... |

trust me I have... and I think he HAS to go back for certain items left behind, and what will Hermione do without a library? I also have the feeling he is going to die.... |

Well I suppose he might, but it's certainly not going to play it's usual role. Either way, to quote a friend the book will be 'balls to the wall'. And if it's not, I blame the 6th book for sapping J.K Rowling of her creative energy, and all the good ideas that could have been thought for the series. |
|
Ah, damns you! I think I know where you're talking about, and now the gist has made me lose interest somewhat. That's only because it's a summary though. Don't worry, it shall still be read.... I'm just waiting until someone else buys it though, so I can steal it from them, like the dirty little scamp that I am. |

You could always borrow my copy. |

Just heads up, there are SPOILERS ahead. DO NOT READ if you have not yet read the book and wish to remain clueless.
*********************************
I have an interesting theory I'd like to present to those of you have read the book. Me and my friend were discussing the Horocruxes that Harry must pursue, and we both debated the idea whether or not Harry himself is a Horocrux. I assure you, we did not steal this theory off the net, but stumbled across it in our discussion. It does, in fact, have some supportive evidence, though there are still gaps.
We believe this might be the case because, if you recall, when Voldemort heard the prophecy, he chose to eradicate Harry... or seemingly chose to. In my opinion Voldemort is a clever mastermind. I've found it increasingly unlikely that he was foolish enough to go, by himself, to the Potters to kill a young boy. However, with recent information about the Horocrux in mind, perhaps he was not rushing to kill Harry. If you contemplate it, how brilliant would it be to hear a prophecy about a young man who would be your demise, and rather than try and kill him, you chose to attach a part of your soul so you could never be destroyed without his death as well. Obviously that is a brilliant idea, and I would expect nothing less of Voldemort to have realized this and tried to go through with it.
Evidence that you might consider in support of this theory is as follows:
a) A horocrux requires a sacrafice... and he does kill Harry's parents.
-To expand on (a) further, perhaps Voldemort was so terribly weakend by Harry not by the magic of his mothers protection, but because Voldemort had split his soul so many times.
B) It was never metioned that a Horocrux could not be a person.
c) Voldemort chose significant items that were cleverly protected to be his Horocrux...and he knew Harry would be very well protected indeed.
-To expand on © a little more, I would also like to point out that Dumbeldores charm on the Dursleys protects him from Vodlemort... but it never mentions that he is protected from anyone, or anything else. This makes me believe that Dumbledore is aware of the possibility that Harry is a Horocrux already from the beginning of the novel. Perhaps the magic of his Mother's love is indeed in place against Voldemort. This would make sense, because in this respect Voldemort surely wouldn't wish for anyone to mess with Harry other than himself, correct?
I have other theories too, like perhaps Dumbeldore died intentionally. It would not surprise me for JK to introduce some way of removing Horocruxs by sacrafice, in which case Dumbledore may very well have sacd himself to do so with Harry.
Or perhaps Dumbledore gave Harry a part of his soul and sacraficed himself in the process? In this case, Snape would still remain to be a good guy and show how brilliant Dumbeldore could be.
Ive rambled long enough, I'd love to hear some of your guys theories who have read it. And if you read this despite the warnings, and havent read the book, get out there and do so immediatley because obviously there is a lot more to take from this book than just a good read... which it is.

Spoilers successfully bypassed...... thank you for the warning ^_^
Rachel, I didn't know you had it already. I'm going to have to hitchhike to your house now, darn you. I need that book....... |
