This is the quintessential Dragon Quest fanboy's dream come true, it seems (assuming these remakes aren't butchered, but I trust you, Enix). I'm not quite at an obsessive level, but I'm thrilled to hear the news anyway.

By the by... For anyone who may have a fleeting interest in the subject: a nearly complete fan translation for Dragon Quest VI was released by NoPrgress. While imperfect, it's very much playable, should the release of the DS incarnation seem too far off.
