Yeah, what the fuck. No posting spoiler threads, alright?

I like how Dortz actually corrected the spoiler just to make sure there were no confusions.

Thats going well above and beyond the call of duty, thats DEDICATION, even.
pixel
If people are gonna get spoilers, they should get the RIGHT spoilers dammit!

And, I don't know how to format to spoilervision, with the white text on white background.

All I know is that my friends that own the game say that it's apparently 'too short', and plays a helluva lot like the predecessors... Not that the gameplay is bad or anything, but that you 'forget' that you're playing a 'next gen' game...

You fucking people are killing me. Not that I care about the Halo 3 storyline or anything, it's you fucking people.

We live to serve Matt.

And yeah, it was short, and I found it almost too easy. Except that when you put the skulls on (non-halo people have no idea what I'm talking about) it becomes far too difficult. I'm trying to play through with the thunderstorm/mythic combo. I 'had' tilt, catch, fog, and famine on, but that was just too much fail for me. Imagine a brute commando with twice the health and armor, and having 20 shots with a carbine and a frag grenade to do it with.

you know what I played that goddamn game when my friend got it through mail we played it until frikan 4:00 AM and we thought master chief was dead then we got into our P.O.W positions and knocked out so I don't know what ever

Is that what you kids call anal sex these days? Because if so, it really explains alot about the Halo Fan Community.

But seriously, why spoil the end?

And easy on those P.O.W. positions, my good sir!

Hey, Retard boy started it. I just don't like to see honest gamers being mislead.
pixel
They should just rename this game Halo 2.5, it doesn't bring anything new besides new weapons. >_>
pixel
I'd call it a new version, because they changed the entire engine the game ran on. In software development, major releases (1.0, 2.0, etc.) usually come out when there are massive changes to the core of the game.

And there were TONS of updates to the multi. plus calling it 3.0 finishes the trio, so bungee can stop making halo games get on that fabled Marathon sequel!
pixel
Okay, but tell me how its a new game? What does this game present thats different from Halo 2? I'd say it feels like playing the same game besides more weapons and features, the game itself has not changed at all.
pixel
By that argument, how was halo1 different from halo2 then?

There's only so much you can do with 'shoot stuff, go over there, shoot different stuff.'

the original halo was crazy-awesome, because there were no 'good' shooters out for the next-gen systems yet. halo2 was a logical progression from halo1, halo3 was a logical progression of that. more features, better graphics, same 'if it isn't ours, kill it' mentality.

the 'big' thing about 2 was the new enemies, new weapons, and multi.
the 'big' thing about 3 is the new enemies, new weapons, and multi.

i'm just saying that it 'deserves' to be called 3 because it's been re-built on a different engine. Look at the Doom series. it's the SAME FRIGGIN GAME. but people still determine Doom1 from Doom3, because it's run on a different engine, that's more capable of in-depth character development, more features, etc.

a good tournament website for online tournaments is www.pur3ownage.com it divides tournaments by skill level and pot sizes, it's pretty cool
pixel
As far as the first person shooter games go, it doesn't always have to be the same thing every game and one good example is BioShock.
pixel
I'll level with you on that. I still play bioshock, i've already set halo3 down. though most recently, it's dead rising and GH3.
