I am am thinking about purchasing the following titles:
Unlimited Saga
Radiata Stories
Dawn of Mana (when it gets cheaper)
As far as I can tell, people didn't really like these games. But, I have liked a number of Square titles that everyone else seem to dislike somewhat. So, are any of these worth a $15 price tag? explain. |

Unlimited SaGa - I really like it, everyone else thinks it's a giant turd. According to a guy who worked at SE at the time, testing this game made people start smoking. This shit is hard but rewarding if you can figure it out.
Radiata Stories - I hate this game with a passion but everyone thinks it's so amazing! Still, it's the only game I've ever returned. I don't know how tri-Ace churned this guy out. Of the three, probably your best bet. It's like Majora's Mask's time system meshed with dozens of characters as found in Chrono Cross, dabbed with a slow battle system and sprinkled with the art style of an epileptic third-grader.
Dawn of Mana - Read my review and please wait until it drops to $15. Then I could see the investment happening. |

Unlimited SaGa should be really cheap now... I got it for $15 new, and that was over three years ago. At the time it was one of the least fun things I had ever played, but has since been de-throned by Dirge of Cerberus, and I'm a SaGa fangirl. Beautiful music though.
Damn near everything about Radiata Stories was great except for the music... but when ever Tri-Ace game uses Motoi Sakuraba and then switches to Noriyuki Iwadare... it's kind of a let down.
Dawn of Mana... wait for price drop. |
