So I read the reviews of Chrono Trigger... Oh boy.
Next, I hear the Chrono theme song in my head and remember the awesome story of Crono and his companions wandering through time. Then came memories of FF6, Terra and the returners fighting the evil empire... Oh my days. Beautiful stories, songs and memories...
They almost got a tear in my eye.
One would think it is gay or weird or sad to be moved by memories of a couple of video games one first played over 10 years ago, but no sir, infact it takes a man to admit it.
Yes, a man!
Now somebody hug me. |

This kind of thing happens to me all the time, but for whatever reason I can never bring myself to do a complete replay of my favorite classic RPGs anymore, which is a little disappointing... Despite how often I get reminded of my fondest time-travelling memories in Chrono Trigger, I can never pick up the controller keyboard and play the game with the same addiction that I did all those years ago.
Indeed, though, the true mark of manhood is a profound love for old school video games. Football? Cars? Women? Pfft~ (okay maybe women) |

I am in the process of replaying most of my SNES favorites, since I get more enjoyment playing my old games than I do pretty much any new one. Every year at Christmas time, I pick up where I left off, playing each game a little. This year's goal is to finally max out my characters' levels in Secret of Mana. They are all about 95 right now. And I still need a couple more glove orbs. ~ah fond memories~ |
