okay WELLL since all you people just write to say how you AREN'T getting it. I picked it up and I got a few hours into it, so far I like the story... um, slightly confusing so far... you have to have played Chain of Memories to get it... and all the cheesey disneyness is liveable. I've gotten the gummi ship but I was only on it about two seconds to get to hollow bastion... but from what I've seen they've definately improved it.... well I have work to do now that it's 1:30 at night and its due tomorrow and I've been doing nothing but play all day... *slams her head into the computer screen*

Here's my problem.

I'm the manager of a Game Crazy in California. And being the type of guy who likes to support his own store by not going anywhere else to buy it, I walk in to pay it off today. Getting there however, I have learned from my guys that Fed Ex fucked up the shipment of Kingdom Hearts to several stores in our city. My store being one of them.

Not only do I have to calm customers down when I tell them that their "reserved copy for a year and a half" isn't here on launch day... I have to resist the urge to go to my local Game Stop for it myself.

Damn my loyalty.

I can only hope the shipment comes tomorrow. I have over 50 reservations for my store alone... and over 350 reservations in my district got screwed over today.

This is not looking good for our company.... AND I WANT TO PLAY IT TOO!!

I wanted to fire my guys for picking theirs up at our competitor's store-- but Fed Ex is going to have a lot of crap on their hands if we set up a suit against them for withholding a AAA Title like this.

We're really good with keeping our SOS Dates together, and we don't screw with prices (which I hear plenty of other stores have been doing with KH2). It's not fair.

that sort of reminds me of a story of when I worked at EB games I was supposed to open the store one morning when a big release was coming out... I forget what it was, this was like three years ago, but it was something for x box and something I personally wasn't excited about but a lot of guys were. I got there late and the fed ex guy had already been there and left one of those note things that says they will try again the next day... I had to explain to angry customers what happened... I got in sooooo much trouble haha written up nicely!!

You dont have to play chain of memories to get it. All you have to do is search for Chain of Memories in wikipedia

and I retract what I said about the cheesey Disney-ness not being so bad... wait till you get to Atlantica... it is so... stupid... but it doesn't ruin the game, it just makes you want to shoot yourself temporarily

I've avoided Atlantica, for good reason. The only worlds that really felt the most like gimmicks were Pride Lands and Space Paranoids. But there is so much awesome in this game that it completely makes up for those.

Yeah, KHII is pretty mcuh kickass.

Only thing I dont like is that all I have to do in order to kickass is ... press "X"

Yeah, the IGN review didn't seem to go too well. Dunno about all this 'I got through the game without magic' and 'I didn't look at the screen for a few minutes, mashed x and levelled up' stuff. I'll still get it for sure, but here's hoping for some extra European feature with extra difficulty.

The battle system is beyond boring, I got so sick of mashing X, I ended up playing several hours of Gummi ship runs (which FREAKING rock). It really had the potential to be quite good, the amount of abilities available could have made it quite versatile if there wasn't so much emphasis on the X button. The reaction button sections could have also been done better, all you had to do was mash triangle and as easy as that, it was done. If it was done God of War-esque style it would have been much, much better.

Personally I thought Atlantica was a nice novelty. I've always thought that Kingdom Hearts really should have some real Disney music in it, but I have to agree, it was way too boring and tedious. The first few songs were quite nice, I haven't gotten 'Under the Sea' but having to keep going back and forth between worlds, 'You must get magnet', 'You must have a drive level of 3,' really got on my nerves.

A thing I didn't like was some of the voice acting. Whoever did the voice for Aeris deserves to be gutted, pulled inside-out and left hanging. She sounded like she could barely breathe let alone sound actually normal. Also some of the dialogue was quite stupid. Seifer's 'That's proof that we totally owned you lamers' left me laughing into stitches but considering the amount of dialogue in the game, there was bound to be some unpalatable bits. Apart from that the voice acting was great, suprisingly I didn't mind Jesse McCartney's voice for the first 3 hours, and the use of some of the original Disney voices were also a nice touch.

Also Pirates of the Caribbean FOR THE WIN!!!

I completely agree with you on the vioce actress for Aeris... she sucks... so horribly it ruins her whole character. The girl is Meena Sur-something, the hot one from 'American Beauty' she was also in all those 'American Pie' movies well I dont know about the third one I never saw it (way beyond the point). but I find all the other voice actors good, and yeah its cool they got most of the same voice actors for the Disney people. and Atlantica isn't cute... they are singing... singing that really cheesey first song they sing was stuck in my head for half a day!! I went into Atlantica innocent and unknowing and my jaw dropped in horror when the singing began! and of course I'm a freak so I want to complete the stupid journal so I keep going back *slaps herself*

Just finsihed it.... For those of you playing, try to get the secret movie, (This will be much easier for those on Proud Mode) it is worth it.

Yeah. On Beginner you can't get it at all. On Normal, complete Jiminy's Journal and all worlds. On Proud all you need to do is complete all the worlds.
