I'm addicted to Monster Hunter on my psp. Isn't the last stage of addiction Acceptence? crap. ANYway; this game is faulkin' frustrating but so awesome!:D It doesn't get better than going adventurin' with yer buddies in Ad Hoc mode facing down a mighty wyvern and just destroying the greasy poop outta it. As I've been taking 10 and 5 hour drives to Idaho this last month with all my friends, it's been mighty fun!
Also, I am totally in love with Devil May Cry 3: Director's Cut. Hoy shit, when I first figured out how to play... Manic-fun.

Before everyone chimes in with WoW, I'd like to say that I was one of those Disgaea addicts. Of course, it was the same when Star Ocean 3 released, though I can't top Rachel's monumental achievements there.
Oh, right.

I have two addictions at the moment.
First of all is the Touhou series of games. Since the beginning of the year I have probably racked up over 150 hours of gametime. Which isn't much by normal standards but it is if you take into fact that this is my final year of high school and most of my school friends have not been out since the start of the year and are racking up hours of study a day. This isn't a basic game addiction as well, it is pretty full-on addiction. The only music I have listened to in the last few months are from the countless arrange albums for the games, I think about it almost all the time and I have been getting wierd associations with real life objects to things in the games. It is freaking crazy.
Secondly is Nexus War. Never knew how someone could get addicted to browser games until this. God damn, when I'm not thinking about Touhou, I'm thinking about what my NW characters can do and their builds. It is ridiculously addicting, I've even woken up at 4a.m and the such in early mornings for raids. So yeah, everyone come play! |

Matter of fact, I was never addcited to a game other than fighting games in general. The fact that an rpg takes 384794564956 hours to beat doesnt mean youre addcited, you know? it just means that fuck, damn bitch takes a long time |

I have to agree, fighting games can be really addictive. Just the innate challenge and urge to get better can keep one going forever. I just played 6 hours straight of Tekken 5; now I can hardly feel my fingers and my forearms are numb. I'm not addicted to it though but I used to be. |
