Well, thanks to the versatility of my amazing DS, I'm considering picking it up when it does release just to play through. As an embarrassing fact, Kefka's tower stopped me from ever beating the game. Having been sufficiently embarrassed, I aim to remedy that problem come FFVI release.

Psyched. Great game.

Interesting Sidenote: From the look on the Gamestop Employee's face, I'm apparently the first person ever to pre-order a GBA game.

I play it all the time on PS...over and over just like every other FF game ever made.

You mean Anthology? Those load times are horrendous. Hopefully this GBA version will fix that right up.

I'm looking forward to it. My only concern is that there might be some slowdown, which would make the battles less enjoyable since battles in the original had a nice flow to them.

From what I've heard, there is little to no lag in battle... guess I'll know for sure tomorrow night.

I'm only a little ways in and I have yet to see any lag or or shitty load times. Everything looks clear and the music sounds fine (I heard complaints about the music quality sucking). If you have a GBA and like FFVI, there's no reason not to get this version.

Yeah, the sound quality is disappointing. But not unexpectedly disappointing. Anybody who has played any GBA game knows that the system has shitty sound capabilities.

I noticed some differences in the translation, including some different terminology ("Ghestalian Empire" (??), and pubs instead of cafes), but I have yet to encounter any of the hott porn that was censored in FFIII.

I'm satisfied with it. FFVI + extra content and none of the shitty load times of the Anthology version? Yes prease.

I got it a few days ago, and so far the new translation alone has made it worth the price.
