It seems as though War of the Lions wasn't received so well in Japan, mostly for its horrible load times and slow-downs. Here's hoping they fix these issues for the North American release... |
staff |
Hopefully, the doubling of RAM for the new PSP model will resolve the issue. But yeah, the War of the Lions version receives a noticeable slowdown that should simply not be plaguing the game if the original did not face the same trouble. |

BAH it makes no difference. I regret buying a PSP the first time. I'm not going to buy another PSP just to play Lion War. |
staff |
Why not just sell your old one and get a new one for a significantly smaller price? |
staff |
That's kind of what I meant. I don't want to by the PSP a second time, even if I do sell the old one (which will go for much less, of course). I can't imagine I would regret buying the second PSP less than I did the first one. |

I thought this game comes out 2morrow, not Tuesday...

can anyone confirm that se has not fucked it up? |

I got the game a few days ago. I have only played it for a couple of hours but I haven't noticed any slowdowns or slow loading. I cant really compare it to any other PSP games though since I only have two (MGS Ac!d and FFT) PSP games.
Btw I cant add the game to "my collection" :p Last edited by kula_shakerz on October 11, 2007 |

An article I read a little while ago said that the slowdown has nothing to do with the hardware, so purchasing a new PSP won't be the way to go. But, as Kula points out, it's not really noticeable unless put side-by-side with the original.
Goodness knows we sunk hours into stuff that played slow as a snail back in the day (which was a Wednesday). This should only be a minor adjustment. |

I think that's Bob's way of telling us that the game is good. |
staff |
Why are you guys buying WotL if you already own the original? |
|
Because there's new stuff, and Square Enix are money grubbing assholes these days.
i'd buy it if i had another reason to get a psp.
but i'm not spendin 200$ just to play FFT with a couple new things. Especially when they renamed Algus. (Bastards :-p) |

Bob, you should write a reader review for your ones of clamoring fans hinging on your editorialized judgment. |

Looks like Square is going to offer a box of FFT figures on the "OFFICIAL ONLINE MERCHANDISE STORE" come October 31st. |

cool, i'll decide whether or not to buy them with this d20.

nah, not gonna bother, my attack missed. |

How can you roll a 4 factorial on a d20? There is no 24 on a d20 |

at least he didn't attempt 5!, I don't know that there are any dice that can handle 120. |
