So theirs a chat room for Sqaure Haven, great another channel to add to my mIRC. One thing though I was trying to find it with no luck and went some where that didn't look like it.

If there is one, what do I type under irc server, I know the channel is #squarehaven right?

Alllll right, thanks Paul, I had idea that it was irc.esper.net when Methusalen type Espernet servers. I just didn't see it, and type it in the wrong place. Damn it, anyway, chat awayyyy.

Sorry, I'm still new to IRC, don't really know what I'm doing... It's just an over-glorified IM program to me...

I go in there, and quite possibly due to the time difference there's no one saying anything, and no one replying to my messages. Ah well, shit happens.

I don't know... I've gotten mIRC to work for me (now with Acidmax goodness as well)...

I've typed in http://irc.esper.net, and http://irc.esper.net/#squarehaven, but they always either redirect me to another site (some of them really weird) or say 'page cannot be displayed'. Am I typing it in wrong?

You need an IRC client, you can't use an internet browser like it seems you are doing. Get mirc.

IRC is not part of the internet, STRANGELY ENOUGH! You need a seprate client to access it as it is a seperate protocol to http:// and other such that are handled by web browsers, much in the same way that you need an IM client to use AIM or MSN.

mIRC, as Nephtis mentioned, is the choice Windows software for accessing IRC. Download that and install it, and then if you click the link in your browser, it should be opened in mIRC. Alternatively, if you use Firefox, you can get the Chat extension, which will allow for the same thing. Opera has IRC support built in, so you're in luck if you use that.
