So, it's been about a month since we sat down and went through all of our family & friends' addresses with Terasa's aunts. One of her aunts took the list and the stack of wedding invites (and envelopes and whatnot) and told us they would be ready for us to mail out the day after Terasa's Bridal Shower... which was last week...
SO, here we are, just having recieved them from her uncle... we take a look at them... the address labels have her name mispelled... "Big deal, It's just the return label" you think... well, guess what? It's not... The spelling of her name is completely mispelled... on the invites, labels, well, at least they didnt' print out the fucking Thank You cards...
My god, the fucking idiocy that goes had to have gone on here to get her name mispelled... IT'S HER FUCKING AUNT THAT TOOK CARE OF THE INVITES... I mean... fuck....
She doesn't have an issue with it... She doesn't care... WHy the fuck does it bother ME so much? It annoys the SURE FIRE FUCK outta ME!!!!

Well, the invitations are stamped, sealed, and sent. Still not very happy about Terasa's name being spelled wrong, but we're not concerned about it anymore... Terasa and my family members have told me that in the long run, the invitations don't matter. Outside of one which will be kept in our wedding album (which will probably be one of the few remaining unprinted ones, which will be retyped CORRECTLY), we don't have to concern ourselves with them.
They have a point, and now I see it, so I'm happier today then I was on Sunday. |

You should keep one in the dodgy photos album that people have. Like the crap photos in which people are doing stupid things and so on. Include one with the spelling error in there, and look back on it and think, 'man that was stupid'. |

So, the wedding date's about 2 weeks out... (June 25th), all SEEMS to be going well... Her dress has been fitted (for the 2nd time- hopefully the FINAL time), everyone's been fitted for their tuxes, the girls have already recieved their bridesmaid's dresses... Decorations have been purchased, centerpieces are taken care of, rings are in a safe, wedding license has been applied for (can't pick it up until the 13th), the judge's been confirmed, the hall is rented (final decisions on food and whatnot have been scheduled for the 17th), the DJ's been paid, the hotel's been booked and paid for (a wedding gift from her uncle- he's even sprung for the "romance package" which includes champainge, roses, truffles, and the like) the room includes a balcony overlooking the river, a fireplace, and a jacuzzi... hehe...
Now, yup... I'm feeling better about the wedding now... |

good good, and when it all comes down to it, remember that you are marrying her and that should be the only thing you think of... not which flowers go where and what is on the invitations... I assisted a photographer at a really fancy rich wedding in west palm beach a couple years ago and the bride basically ruined her own wedding by having a panic attack because the videographer left early (early as in 1am so he missed the part of the party where everyone was drunk and passed out, you know the important stuff, screw the actual wedding) i felt so bad for her new husband, i promised myself that day i would never let little things like that ruin my wedding and keep me from remembering the important part of the day... the person i am marrying. :o |
