That poor poor child. |
staff |
This is worse than the time I read about the child called 'Akira' and was actually publically stated that he was named after the character in the famous anime film. What fucking moronic tools. |
staff |
Well Akira isn't a big deal, it's a normal Japanese name. No sane person actually names someone Sephiroth, though (considering Sephiroth is a bastardisation of the original word to begin with). It's like calling someone Terra, Cloud, Squall, or Tide. Hello? Children are not elementals. |
staff |
Actually, Rahul, Sephiroth is in fact the correct word. |

|
staff |
Yup, says Sephiroth is still correct, as is Sephirot...it really depends on the translation. I've seen it as both. |
staff |
It may be correct, but it's still a bastardisation of the original word! |
staff |
No, Sephiroth/Sephirot are the plural forms. Not bastardisations. |
staff |
And Akira is a Japanese name, but they specifically said they were only naming their child after the film character. Oh and I missed out that important detail that it was the small city in Australia I grew up in, not Japan. If I had of raised that before it probably would have helped my point. |

I've heard of a couple naming their newborn girl Rinoa... |
staff |
That's not nearly as bad though, it's actually a rather pretty sounding name. |

Can you imagine that kid growing up. One of his teachers could easily know of FFVII, and if I was a teacher I'd feel so sorry for that kid. |
staff |
If I ever teach that kid, I am going to play One Winged Angel every time he walks into class. |
staff |
Ah the amusement of it all. |
vip |
Well, at least if THAT kid goes off the deep end he can blame it on gaming and get away with it...
Ridiculed by society, he finally goes off the deep end and, having already played "Final Fantasy VII", follows in the path of his namesake... Carving a path of distruction a mile wide in human death..... mwahaha...
  |
staff |
That's not funny. |
vip |
Meh, Ketchup/Katsup... I have a warped sense of humor...
Is it just me, or have I been ticking off Rahul lately? My appologies... |

Nope I've already done that several times just nobody remembers it because the MIB covered it up. |
