I love Risk, and I was just wondering if anyone else shares my obsession?
Future Risk is my favorite all though Mythology Risk is good to.

Future Risk is the best, Mythology Risk is my next favorite. More people should play Risk..... hell it is the game of world domination. We all want to be dominant sometimes...relieves stress.

Mythology Risk is called God storm

Actually I've played Risk for many years and continue to love even the original. Although I must say, I question whether my enjoyment of strategy games is a subsequent effect of indulging my rooted frustration to dominate. B) However I seldom play Risk anymore. To me, the game seems somewhat juvenile; when considering the lack of diversity in troop strength and fortification of troops in random order, I find Risk to be strategically constricting. That's no good. I suppose some might argue that this forces the player to be more strategic to a degree because of this reason. I disagree entirely. If you are even interested why, I'll tell you in a later post because my posts are always lengthy when I get into things like this. =)

But Blazeshak, if you enjoy Risk (and just a good strategy game in general!) I would definitely advise checking out Axis and Allies. This game offers a decent variety of units and provides setting parameters that effectively balance the use (and need) of battle strategy with the ever-classic and vital skill needed in many board games (and some real life instances too!)... luck.

Yeah, Risk really sucks when you compare it to Final Fantasy Tactics! What were they thinking? The job system is crap.

I'm a big fan of Risk. I love the PS1 game as well since it makes playing it a lot easier.
