Is it just me...or does it seem like Nintendo is sucking up to Square with these special console colors lately ??

Oh, please. I highly doubt Nintendo would suck up to Jesus Christ himself, were he to ascend upon the earth today.

Square makes games that are going to sell. So you take advantage of that by getting people to buy a console as well. Simple enough.
