But the list is unimpressive: there's nothing new save for the odd mobile phone title, and the release dates we're so fanboyishly begging for fail to appear as well. - Second Fullmetal Alchemist title heading for American release
With the recent announcement of a Teen ESRB rating, Square Enix's Fullmetal Alchemist: Curse of the Crimson Elixir has been portended for an American release. Based on the anim? and recent action-RPG, Curse of the Red Elixir has reportedly seen improved AI and a more streamlined graphics engine; hopefully a substantial upgrade from its rather flawed predecessor. Red Elixir received more optimistic reviews for its Japanese release earlier this September, but US audiences must wait for the official announcement of an American release to see whether these claims amount to anything more than Japanese love of franchise. - Full Metal Alchemist 2 to be released this year in Japan
Square Enix announced that Full Metal Alchemist: Demon of the Red Elixir Will hit Japan on August 27th. Not to be left out of a possible merchandising opportunity, Hori plans on releasing a special edition memory card to be released at the same time as the game. Quiter
- Bandai to publish Full Metal Alchemist: Dream Carnival
Alongside the announcement of the new PS2 action RPG Full Metal Alchemist: Demon of the Red Elixir (FMA2), Square Enix, sponsor and producer of the original manga and anime, also brought into the limelight the fact that Bandai, responsible for such important franchises as Gundam and Dragonball and in the news this week regarding its relationship with Nintendo, will be publishing Fullmetal Alchemist: Dream Carnival. The title is to be a 3d tag team beat'em up (???), but its target platform is unclear, as is the developer behind it.
