- A triple shot of Kingdom Hearts
The first day of this year's Tokyo Game Show saw the official announcement of three new Kingdom Hearts titles: Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days, Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep, and Kingdom Hearts: Coded will appear on the DS, PSP, and mobile platform respectively. - E3 2007 - Square Enix to bring online store stateside
In addition to its E3 lineup announcement, Square Enix has revealed its scheme to open a North American online store. Square Enix, as a self-described "premiere [maker] of high end-collectibles" plans to stock a multitude of "popular and hard-to-find items" including Master Arms, Play Arts, and Mechanical Arts spanning various series, from Final Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts. Clearly, Square Enix has seen that someone, somewhere is making money selling its products. The immediate consequence will likely find many third-party vendors competing for profits with Square Enix itself. The Online Store

- BREAKING NEWS: Kingdom Hearts voice actor reveals that he is a flaming fag
Lance Bass has revealed to the world that he is indeed, as many expected, a flaming homosexual. The would-be astronaut and N*SYNC dance machine supplied the voice for Sephiroth in the original Kingdom Hearts. While his professional work in this bleak post-N*SYNC world has been few and far-between, Bass has revealed that he is indeed happy. "The cockthirst keeps me occupied," Bass divulged. - Nomura discusses Kingdom Hearts
In a recent premier party, Kingdom Hearts II director Tetsuya Nomura commented on the fact that the changes made to accommodate Kingdom Hearts II for its United States release were minimal and thus not conducive of an International version. More interestingly, Nomura-san emphasized his plans for another Kingdom Hearts project, which he stressed would not be a direct sequel or foray into other media types, and noted that Square Enix has a "surprise ceremony" in store for E3. - "Ultimate Hits" wallops Japan
Square Enix recently announced the creation of its own Japanese budget series, called "Ultimate Hits", which will feature the re-release of some the Playstation 2 best-sellers, including Final Fantasy X, Final Fantasy X-2, Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, and a fantastic boxed set of the former two titles. Individually priced at 2,800 yen ($25.25 USD), the line will be available come September 8th. Famitsu
- Kingdom Hearts breaks 4 million
Squenix announced that dodgy Disney/Final Fantasy mix-up Kingdom Hearts has sold over 4 million copies worldwide, 2 million of which in North America, 1.2 in Japan and 800k in Europe. This puts the title among the bestselling games the company has published, not to mention one of the bestselling games on PS2. Kingdom Hearts will be receiving a sequel later this year in the form of Kingdom Hearts 2, as well as a GBA incarnation, Chain of Memories, both of which will be further unveiled at E3 this May.
- Six Square titles to Greatest Hits
Square-Enix has announced the committal of six titles that will, by December, be available for Sony's Greatest Hits line of discount titles under $20. The games now included are Final Fantasy X, Kingdom Hearts, Xenogears, Vagrant Story, and Final Fantasys Anthology and Chronicles.

- The AIAS announces 2003 nominees
The Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences today revealed the nominees for the 2003 Interactive Achievement Awards. Finalists for Game of the Year include Animal Crossing, Battlefield 1942, Rachet & Clank, Metroid Prime, and the bastion of hype known as GTA: Vice City. - Square confirms Jump Festa 2003 lineup
Square has announced its game lineup for Jump Festa 2003 at its official website. Aside from the requisite promotional stuff, Square will showcase three GameBoy Advance titles (Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, Chocobo Land and Shinyaku Seiken Densetsu), three PlayStation 2 games (Hanjuku Hero VS 3D, Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix, and Final Fantasy X-2), and its lone GameCube project, Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.

- English version of Kingdom Hearts theme song renamed
The English version of "Hikari," the vocal theme song of Kingdom Hearts, will now be titled "Simple and Clean." Japanese pop star Utada Hikaru, who performs the vocals to "Hikari," also sings the English lyrics.
For many of you who have already seen the English lyrics to the "Hikari" remix, this "news" proves that we live in a vacuum.
- Square EA to host Kingdom Hearts Pre-Launch Party
To top off the pre-launch promotional blitz, Square EA has scheduled a party for the North American release of Kingdom Hearts. Many of KH's voice actors, including Haley Joel Osment, Lance Bass, David Boreanaz, and Mandy Moore, are scheduled to appear. The event will take place August 28 at the W Los Angeles Hotel in Westwood from 6-10 PM. As though the guest appearances weren't enough, "attendees will groove to the music of DJ Jason Bentley." Link
- Tetsuya Nomura, voice actors to appear at Kingdom Hearts event
Tetsuya Nomura, director and character designer for Kingdom Hearts, will make a guest appearance during the Kingdom Hearts Consumer Demo Day at the Sony Metreon's PlayStation store. Voice actors David Gallagher (7th Heaven) and Hayden Panettiere (Ally McBeal, Remember the Titans) are also scheduled to appear. The event takes place August 23 from 2-6 PM. Link

To celebrate the upcoming North American release of Kingdom Hearts, Square EA will hold a "Consumer Demo Day" at the Sony Metreon's PlayStation store in San Francisco. Promotional Kingdom Hearts posters will be given away, and playable demo versions of the game will be made available at the event, which will take place Friday, August 23 from 2-6 PM.

Once slated for an October 14 release, the Square-Disney collaborative effort for the PlayStation 2 will instead be released September 17. The Magic Box reports that Square will supposedly be revealing a new PS2 title as well as showcasing existing PS2 and Wonderswan software at the upcoming JUMP! Festival in Japan on December 23 & 24.
