Despite recent news that The Bouncer would ship in Japan on December 21, Japanese sources now say that the Square-developed beat-em-up will be released Spring 2001. What does this mean for the supposed January North American release?

Word has spread that Square will release The Bouncer to Japanese gamers on December 21. North American retailers will receive the title this coming January.

According to Core Magazine, Square's PS2 action title, The Bouncer will be delayed until this winter in order to receive fully bilingual development. This means that all text, voices, and even signs within the game will be created in both languages. Core Magazine also quoted director Takashi Tokita as saying that the game will ship in Japan with both languages on a single DVD.
