- Ultimate Hits a hit
 Five hundred thousand. That is the number of copies that Square Enix's Ultimate Hits budget series has sold since its inception in September 2005. Since then, it has been a remarkable tool for the company to curb the high prices associated with the sales of used titles and personally pocket the popularity of their classics. To accompany this tremendous success, Square Enix will be releasing no fewer than sixteen more titles into the Ultimate Hits line on July 20, including Valkyrie Profile and Final Fantasy Tactics. - Square Enix and friends lay sights on 360
 Own an X-Box 360? Ready for some real Square Enix RPG goodness? Keep waiting. In a recent Microsoft press conference, Square Enix unveiled Project Sylph, their newest foray into next-gen first person shooters. Thankfully, Star Ocean creators Tri-Ace also announced an RPG being developed for Microsoft Game Studios while Squeenix expatriate Hironobu Sakaguchi's Mistwalker provided trailers for Lost Odyssey and Blue Dragon.  PSP game Valkyrie Profile Lenneth will be, unsurprisingly as PSP games often are, a remake of the original PS title Valkyrie Profile. Although probably inclusive of Sakuraba remixes and dungeons harder than anyone can play while commuting! Go PSP!

 This news article is pretty useless as anything but a link, but I believe Tri-Ace appealing to its most hardcore of hardcore fanbases by ejaculating all over them with a sea of completely desired smut is about as important as the possible and better-fucking-be-on-the-way announcement of a new Chrono game. UPDATE: Gamefront has a new scan that shows the rest of the page, confirming the title as Valkyrie Profile Silmeria and taking place "several hundred years" before the original Valkyrie Profile.
- E3: Valkyrie Profile sequel under development?
In an interview with Yoshinori Yamagishi, producer of Radiata Stories, Yamagishi's response when asked about referring to Valkyrie Profile as a series was cryptic and vague, as if he had something to say that he wasn't ready to discuss. Go speculation and conjecture! Gamespy interview
- Valkyrie Profile and Dragon Quest VII incite their vengeance
February 3 will see Square Enix release Playstation titles Valkyrie Profile and Dragon Quest VII under the PS One Books label for 2,625 yen ($25 USD) and 3,675 ($35 USD); respectively. The excuse...err..reason for the resurrection is said to be that both titles were released prior to the April 2003 Square Enix merger.
The company also plans on releasing other best-sellers in Japan, but no kind of North American re-release has been announced. Game Watch
- Square Enix strategy meeting this week?
 Gamefront is reporting that there are rumors of a strategy meeting being held later this week in which the release date for Final Fantasy XII will be discussed, as well as the future of PlayOnline, information on Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children's release media, alpha tests for Ambrosia Odyssey, and a new project from Star Ocean 3 developers tri-Ace, which could possibly be a new Valkyrie Profile title.
