Star Ocean: Fantastic Space Odyssey synopsis

A young boy named Ratix lives on the quiet planet of Roak, unaware of the strife which is about to befall his home. Suddenly, a mysterious disease sweeps through the land turning friends and family to stone, and as his world crumbles, it is all that he and his friend Milly can do to trust strange new beings hailing from the ocean of stars to aid them in their quest to uncover the truth and deliver justice.

Additional goodness in Star Ocean: First Departure
The PSP title Star Ocean: First Departure --a remake of the classic Enix title Star Ocean-- will feature an all new playable character. While not much is known about the character named simply Enis, it has been released that she is from a group known as the Feather Folk and looks strikingly like an angel. In addition to the character, Square Enix and Sony have confirmed that the title will also be released as a bundle with the PSP system.

Sakuraba to stage Valkyrie concert
You won't be hearing any Wagner at Roppongi's Laforet Museum this June 4th, but fans of Tri-Ace are in for a treat. Famed composer Motoi Sakuraba will be holding a concert to celebrate the impending release of Valkyrie Profile Silmeria. The concert's instrumentation will consist of only a bass, drums, and piano (the latter performed by Sakuraba himself) and will feature music not only from Valkyrie Profile and Silmeria, but also the Star Ocean series as well. Tickets will be available tomorrow at Square Enix's official site; Valkyrie Profile Silmeria releases June 22nd in Japan. Famitsu
