| Soundtrack price and release date, and a little tidbit regarding Melodies of Life |
With the Japanese release of Final Fantasy IX fast approaching, it's no suprise that Nobuo Uematsu's musical accompaniment to the game will soon be released as well. The four disk OSV is due for Japanese release August 30th, at the price of 3689 yen. Despite being a four disc set, it seems that the OSV will not include all the game's music, but rather an extensive sample.
In releated news, Square has announced that they will release Final Fantasy IX's theme song, Melodies of Life as a CD single in Japan. The single, which will contain English, Japanese, instrumental, and OSV versions of the song, will retail for 1300 yen and will be released August 2nd.
