Squae + X-box = a reality?

At the recent Fall Tokyo Game Show in Japan, Square announced that they were meeting with a company based in Seattle, Washington for future business plans. As everyone knows, a certain no-name company called "Microsoft" resides there. Microsoft is hard at work on some new underground console called the "X-Box."

The Imagine Games Network recently visited Square's offices in Japan. Microsoft employees were seen walking around.

Connection or coincidence? It's up to you. But my question is, why would Square be in talks with such a low-profile, no-name company like Microsoft? :)
