...And no, it is not Nobuo Uematsu.

Square Pictures recently announced the music composer for the upcoming Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within movie, and much to the dismay of gamers around the world, it isn't vetran Final Fantasy composer Nobuo Uematsu. Elliot Goldenthal, responsible for such compositions as In Dreams, The Sphere, Titus, and Batman Forever, has taken the task of Square's first movie composition.
