Namco develops new Star Fox, confirms GC, GBA releases

Namco will collaborate with Nintendo to develop a joint Star Fox title for release next Spring while Namco also confirms a complete GameCube and GBA release schedule.

Not unlike Sega's recently announced collaboration with Nintendo to develop the new F-Zero, Namco will also be plunging into another Nintendo franchise: Star Fox. Unlike Rare's solution to the title, Namco will be developing a more traditional Star Fox in the form of the shooters that appeared on Super NES and Nintendo 64. Star Fox will be released for the arcade and GameCube simultaneously in April 2003.

Namco also announced a complete Japanese release schedule as follows:

Soul Calibur 2 - January 2003
Ridge Racer - March 2003
Tales of Phantasia - July 2003
Original RPG (title to be announced) - December 2003
