Metroid movie announced, established into Jeff Lundrigan's coveted "it's about time" column
Variety reports that the Metroid series is bound for the big screen with producers Warren Zide and Craig Perry at the helm. The fact that Zide/Perry are responsible for American Pie and Final Destination doesn't bring an inkiling of comfort. The bright spot, however, is that Hallie Kate Eisenberg (AKA the PEPSI GIRL) will play bounty hunter Samus Aran. Gamers.com

New sample track from The Black Mages released
Another sample track from Final Fantasy Battle Arrange: The Black Mages was recently posted on the album's website. The sample track, titled Those Who Fight Further, is an arrangement of Still More Fighting from Final Fantasy VII. PlayOnline.com
