- New screens of Final Fantasy XII released
While this doesn\'t necessarily demonstrate a real news article, it seems relevant to mention that the new screens of Final Fantasy XII that popped up today show a battle system in progress while an overworld map is still visible, almost confirming our suspicions that Matsuno is ripping out the random battle mechanic from the series. Let\'s hope for it.

Square Enix has opened the official homepages for the upcoming Final Fantasy XI expansion, Chains of Promathia, which was announced yesterday.
