FF12 is DEAD.Weekly Famitsu this week reports news from the suddenly curiously anonymous Square Enix development team working on Final Fantasy XII, dishing out the unforgivingly enticing teasers like "When the weather gets a little warmer, we'd like to bring you some big news and the latest information." The rest of the magazine impressively sports a rehash of what we've already seen. The team's spirits remain at an everlasting high, however: "We've had lots of support from everyone, and we've been working constantly without eating or sleeping to increase the quality of the product!" Rewriting the game from scratch, presumably. But the game might see the light of day yet, it seems, as the dev team proclaims, "If we can continue to receive your support this year, we'd be very happy." So that the company doesn't entirely write off your game, then?

I can't help but feel sorry for them. Imagine having the game so close to completion, and then having to go much further back. Then you've got the legions of fans to inform. "Hey guys, this game is going to be delayed, sorry!"

I'm just glad I am not one of them. I'm used to delays, Australia is one of the last English speaking countries to recieve games, or in some cases not get them at all. (Like Chrono Cross, damn it!)

Ah well, I can wait suprisingly long. I've already waiting plenty for Kingdom Hearts II, and there's plenty of time left for that to hit Australia.

In a certain way is better that they are delaying the game because now they have a chance of making it better. Don't u think ?

Perhaps he is, but anyway. There's something about FFXII that grabs me, particularly the art I've seen, and the general feel. Maybe I've just been deprived of a solid standard Final Fantasy since FFX, since the game's "sequel" was crap, and FFXI being online. Let's hope the game is as good, or better than it seems...
