Just days after labeling Mario creator Shigeru Miyamoto, Castlevania producer Koji Igarashi, and Metal Gear Solid director Hideo Kojima the most overrated game designers in the industry, GameDaily has taken the unprecedented step of naming itself the most overrated online gaming website.

Proving to the world that GameDaily can take criticism just as well it can dish it out, the "Definitive Voice in Gaming" has named itself the most overrated gaming website on the internet. In their incisive, self-critical article, GameDaily argued the gaming magazine's greatest failing was its outright, laughable pomposity.

Commenting on the online consumer website's audacity to tell Koji Igarashi, the director of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, "Stop repackaging the same old video game," the article went on to suggest GameDaily at least let readers comment on articles before assuming to speak for them. "We at GameDaily really must be the *Definitive* Voice in Gaming," wrote GameDaily. "Because we don't let anyone else speak. As much as we love taking cheap shots at the most prominent figures in the industry, if we allowed our readers the freedom to voice their opinions, we'd get our asses handed to us."

GameDaily also took GameDaily to task for saying Hideo Kojima's games are boring, and that "some of us have no interest in watching polygons jibber jabber." Game Daily countered by claiming GameDaily acted superior simply to cover its lack of substance, and that the experience of reading their features was like having your brains sucked out neuron by neuron. "Don’t get us wrong," wrote GameDaily. "We love our derivative graphical style and hesitantly edgy journalism. Just quit it with the high-handed judgment calls, GameDaily. GameDaily's sick of it!"

"The Most Overrated Gaming Website on the Internet" cited such cheap shots as telling gaming legend Shigeru Miyamoto, "We feel uncomfortable watching you conducting imaginary orchestras and swinging the Master Sword to make gamers cry with joy." In his response, GameDaily reporter Chris Buffa satirically mocked his own article. "Guess what else we feel uncomfortable with, GameDaily?" wrote GameDaily. "Reading GameDaily. GameDaily to GameDaily: get off your high horse!"

GameDaily ended the article by earnestly requesting their corporate owner, AOL Time Warner, to supply them with more funding. Only then, the most overrated gaming website believes, will they be able to hire some real writers. "Frankly," wrote GameDaily, "GameDaily's read better crap from people who do our job in their spare time."
