 Square has announced that Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix will feature all of the additions seen in the English version of the game... and more. In other news, reports claim that Sharleen Hii was sighted modding her PS2 and screaming incoherently. |
Spoilers ahead. Tread carefully.
Major additions to Final Mix include a new character named Unknown, who will also appear in a new FMV sequence, and possibly some flashback scenes featuring Sora and Riku. Also, fanboys can rejoice for new cutscenes featuring (highlight for spoilers) a showdown between the Kingdom Hearts incarnations of Cloud and Sephiroth. All additions made in the English version of Kingdom Hearts (such as extra bosses and the Expert Mode) will be included in Final Mix as well.
The estimated retail price for the Platinum Edition is 8800 yen (approximately $70 USD). There are no plans for a Kingdom Hearts: Final Mix release outside of Japan.
