Shinji Hosoe (細江慎治)

Music Composer

Shinji Hosoe is a game composer for Super Sweep. He was hired by Namco in 1987 as a CG artist, and shortly thereafter transitioned to the sound division. For ten years he contributed music to such arcade titles as Dragon Spirit, Ridge Racer, and Rave Racer, before leaving the company to join Arika. He contributed tracks to the Street Fighter EX titles and Internal Section, published by Square.

In 2000, Hosoe formed the Super Sweep music production company, allying with Arika composers Takayuki Aihara and Ayako Saso. For Square, he created music for Bushido Blade, Driving Emotion Type S, and Xenosaga Episode II. Most recently, he worked as a composer on Ridge Racer 7 Direct Audio, under the name SamplingMasters Mega, and Folk Soul: The Lost Folklore.
