Tsuyoshi Sekito (関戸 剛)

Music Composer

Before joining Square Enix in 1995, Tsuyoshi Sekito worked with Konami game designer Hideo Kojima on several titles, including Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake. Brave Fencer Musashi was his first major soundtrack for Square. In 2001, he was assigned to remix Final Fantasy II for the Wonderswan Color. His guitar skills proved vital in the foundation of the The Black Mages band, and also the softrock Star Onions. He was one of the key composers and performers for the Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children film soundtrack. He is currently composing the score for The Last Remnant.

  • The Last Remnant in print
    remnant_tn_3.jpgThe first image illustrations and in-game screenshots of Square Enix's international RPG have been surfacing in Japanese gaming magazine Dengeki. The Last Remnant marks an experiment for the game developer, both in planning a simultaneous release for Japan and North America, and a cross-platform destination for Playstation 3 and XBox 360. Recently it has been revealed that the game's artwork will be overseen by Kimihiko Miyamae and Yusuke Naora, while the soundtrack will be composed by Tsuyoshi Sekito. Details

  • Final Fantasy Anniversary Edition headed stateside
    ff1_anniv_tn.pngSquare Enix is already at work on the English-language adaptations of Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy II Anniversary Edition for the Sony Playstation Portable. Screenshots released today reveal the 20th anniversary iterations of the 8-bit classics will pay homage to the game's heritage by including the full Japanese text version. The titles will sell for $29.99 apiece, and hit retail shelves on June 26 and July 24. English screens
