Ziyad is an editor for Square Haven. His interest in interactive media was sparked at the age of six by exposure to the original Prince of Persia. Other games that had a lasting impact upon his memory include Super Mario World, Secret of Mana, and Final Fantasy VII. He is a writer of fiction and poetry, has a deep appreciation for opera, classical, and game music soundtracks. His favorite game to date is Genso Suikoden II.

Ziyad has contributed well over a hundred news articles to Square Haven since he began his career as a journalist in August of 2004, and has written quality staff reviews for such titles as Rocket Slime, Secret of Evermore, Front Mission 4, and Bahamut Lagoon. His efforts were instrumental in the establishment of the Square Haven People Database. Ziyad was also responsible for the meticulously researched Final Fantasy VII Game Guide.

Few can claim to have contributed as much to the ongoing survival of Square Haven as it ekes out a threadbare existence into its ninth year of service to the gaming community.

No, it's not an addiction to teenage pornography, as some of you might suspect; farbeit for me to incriminate myself. Nor do I stalk the dark alleys of Compton, nails digging deep into my skin, in search of that effervescent crack cocaine--my rehabilitation has placed me far above such petty desires. The truth is, I like to finish things. It’s true, I derive a special enjoyment from completing assignments, tubes of toothpaste, and one-ply rolls of toilet paper dangling precariously in public restroom stalls. Yet, when it comes to my favorite gaming hobby, my completist inclinations take a turn for the worse.
