Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates News
- Three new titles to North American portables next spring
Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates will be published March 11 with local-only multiplayer play (official site); More than three years after its original announcement, Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII will finally be released in North America on March 25 with voice talent to be announced soon (official site); And finally, The World Ends With You (formerly It's a Wonderful World) has a more ambiguous and less solidified date of Spring.
- A young FFCC clambers to 250k; old man FFXI still pushing 500k
The newest Japanese Software Chart reveals that the late August release of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: Ring of Fates has reached 256,000 sales, putting it at number one. Similarly, Final Fantasy XI has finally reached 500,000 players worldwide. Unfortunately for FFXI, the five year crawl to 500,000 has been significantly dwarfed by FFCC's stampede up the charts. Hopefully, the long-term investment in FFXI has warranted enough profits to compete with resource reinvestment in various smaller projects.
- E3 2007 - Square Enix to bring online store stateside
In addition to its E3 lineup announcement, Square Enix has revealed its scheme to open a North American online store. Square Enix, as a self-described "premiere [maker] of high end-collectibles" plans to stock a multitude of "popular and hard-to-find items" including Master Arms, Play Arts, and Mechanical Arts spanning various series, from Final Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts. Clearly, Square Enix has seen that someone, somewhere is making money selling its products. The immediate consequence will likely find many third-party vendors competing for profits with Square Enix itself. The Online Store
- E3 2007 - Square Enix announces lineup
As the headline above might suggest, Square Enix has announced its 2007 E3 lineup and is ready to showcase some of its most anticipated and exciting titles. Which will be shown? Which will be shunned? Square Haven brings you the latest. Details
- E3: Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles announced for Revolution
The Nintendo press conference just came to a close, bearing with it several new announcements, one of which was the confirmation that Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is under development for Nintendo's next-gen Revolution console. It's unknown whether the previous DS FFCC project has been moved to Revolution, or whether there are now two new games underway.
- New Mana, Crystal Chronicles titles confirmed for Nintendo DS
The list of new titles to be brought to the Nintendo DS after its release includes a substantial contribution from Square Enix, with 4 titles listed as being under development for the system alongside previously announced Egg Monster Heroes. Besides a new iteration of Dragon Quest Monsters and Slime Morimori Dragon Quest, two titles I'm sure you're about as interested in as protracting athlete's foot, the system will be graced with the presence of a new Mana title, something we previously suspected as being under development, and a new Crystal Chronicles, which was more or less announced at E3 anyway. So ends this news article that may just as well have consisted solely of the title. Sigh.
