When Croma the black mage arrives bearing a mysterious picture book, story time turns sour as Darkmaster Bebuzzu, imprisoned for a millennium, is let loose. With the island's inhabitants turned into cards, it is up to Chocobo and his friends to gather the power of the four crystals to put Bebuzzu back in his place before his ultimate revival and the destruction of all they know come to pass.

- E3 2007 - Square Enix to bring online store stateside
In addition to its E3 lineup announcement, Square Enix has revealed its scheme to open a North American online store. Square Enix, as a self-described "premiere [maker] of high end-collectibles" plans to stock a multitude of "popular and hard-to-find items" including Master Arms, Play Arts, and Mechanical Arts spanning various series, from Final Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts. Clearly, Square Enix has seen that someone, somewhere is making money selling its products. The immediate consequence will likely find many third-party vendors competing for profits with Square Enix itself. The Online Store
- Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon granted entry into America
Full of colorful 3D graphics and classic Final Fantasy tunes, the mini-game compilation title Chocobo to Mahou no Ehon will be available to Nintendo DS owners in North America this April. The game's use of the DS stylus and touch screen is reportedly more diverse and amusing than anything Square Enix has conjured up for the portable thus far.
