Dissidia Final Fantasy synopsis
In an alternate universe, the villains and heroes of Final Fantasy wage war in a battle between darkness and light... Zidane and Kuja, Garland and the Warrior of Light, Cosmos and Chaos fight to determine which is the greater power, creation or destruction.Dissidia Final Fantasy for the Playstation Portable was envisioned by director Yousuke Shiokawa as a celebration of the 20th anniversary of the Final Fantasy series. Pitting classic characters against their nemeses in one-on-one battles patterned after Kingdom Hearts, the title hopes to deliver the most exciting experiment in cross-pollenation a series fan could wish for.

- Dissidia Final Fantasy desiderata
Square is commemorating 20 years of franchise fandom with the RPG brawler Dissidia Final Fantasy for the Playstation Portable. Ten playable characters from the series history have been rendered in 3D, along with their nemeses and memorable in-game locations. Square Enix posted the first video of the game today, revealing a previously unannounced popular villain will be entering the fray. Trailer
- Dissidia Final Fantasy unveiled for the PSP
Today Square Enix launched a teaser site for the next Final Fantasy title for the PSP, titled Dissidia Final Fantasy. Judging by the first scan from Shonen Jump, the game is a 3D action title involving characters from assorted Final Fantasy titles, including Chaos, Kuja, and Zidane. The logo is designed by Yoshitaka Amano, while characters will be handled by Tetsuya Nomura. More information awaits to be revealed at the Square Enix Party this weekend. First scan
