Dawn of Mana synopsis
Long ago, when the world was at peace and magic was yet unknown to man, a beautiful isle called Illusia floated in the center of the Inner Sea... Over the island towered the great Mana Tree, the source of all life. There it stood since the dawn of the world... But over time, the tree turned to stone and slept as though death had come to it at last. So begins the story of how a boy came to wield a sacred sword and how a maiden became a goddess—entwining the fate of spirits, mortals, and the entire world into a tale of hope and despair.

Junya Nakano started out as a music composer for Konami's arcade titles and began composing for Square during the 16-bit era. Since then, he has contributed to such soundtracks as Final Fantasy X, Musashi Samurai Legend, and Project Sylpheed. Prestigious gaming weekly Famitsu Magazine deigned to give Dawn of Mana a 30/40, while Chocobo and the Magic Picture Book scored a 33. Meanwhile, Mistwalker's first RPG snagged a respectable 37/40. more scores
