Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special overview
Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special synopsis
Moving into the realm of the popular Itadaki Street board game series, Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy adds pillar presence where Square Enix obviously needs profits. Look for settings in places like Midgar from
Final Fantasy VII, along with characters ranging from Cloud and Tifa, to YRP, chocobos, and various castmembers of the Dragon Quest franchise.
- Itadaki Street Special site updated....again...and again...and again
Over the course of the past few months, the official Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special website has been updated with new playing boards, characters, gameplay information, and box art. New playable characters include Auron, Tidus, Yuna, Tarutaru, Aerith, Vivi, and Sephiroth himself. Some new gameplay elements are a mini game (featuring Onionkids fighting a Behemoth) and a magic system, including a new Odin summon. In related news, a thousand fanboys just wet their pants. - Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy to bridge gap between franchises
Out of nowhere, probably because we don't really care, Square Enix unveiled Dragon Quest & Final Fantasy in Itadaki Street Special in a recent issue of Jump magazine. It's a board game featuring characters from the Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy franchises and will be out this winter. Sounds a bit like Mario Party, to be honest. Jump magazine scan
