Radiata Stories overview
Radiata Stories synopsis
Sporting around 150 playable characters, this Tri-Ace developed action RPG with hints of Star Ocean and Wild ARMs 3 puts you in control of either Jack Russell or Ridley Timberlake, both 16. Three other party members, connected to the main character through a "Link System", will join you in battle at all times.
- Radiata Stories slated for North American release
Square Enix has now announced that Tri-Ace smash hit Radiata Stories will be released in North America on September 9, 2005 for an MSRP of $49.99 (USD). Radiata follows the story of Jack and Ridley as they meet under different and dire circumstances to make a difference in interactive environments and a real time battle system. Sporting 150 playable characters and a colossal world, it's sure to cause a ruckus come September. RPGamer
- E3: Valkyrie Profile sequel under development?
In an interview with Yoshinori Yamagishi, producer of Radiata Stories, Yamagishi's response when asked about referring to Valkyrie Profile as a series was cryptic and vague, as if he had something to say that he wasn't ready to discuss. Go speculation and conjecture! Gamespy interview
- E3 2005: Squenix vaunts Polymorphism in full swing; still can't provide Final Fantasy XII release date; Kingdom Hearts II voice actors confirmed
"Square Enix, Inc. to Unveil Massive Lineup at The Electronic Entertainment Expo," states the press release furiously. But the list is unimpressive: there's nothing new save for the odd mobile phone title, and the release dates we're so fanboyishly begging for fail to appear as well. Nevertheless, here's the full list
- Radiata Stories is released and awesome
Contrary to expectation by many Tri-Ace haters and comfortably inline with true experts like myself and Rachel, Radiata Stories is performing well in Japan since its release yesterday, selling 152k copies on the first day and beating Resident Evil 4. Square Enix does indeed have a stranglehold on that market. The game also garnered impressive scores from Dengeki PS2 last week, with a review spitting out three 95s and a 90. No NA or European dates have been given yet, but it's more than likely that they will be eventually. Meanwhile, feel free to complain about wanting a Valkyrie Profile sequel.
