  • E3 2007 - Square Enix to bring online store stateside
    ffxii_gabranth-toy.PNGIn addition to its E3 lineup announcement, Square Enix has revealed its scheme to open a North American online store. Square Enix, as a self-described "premiere [maker] of high end-collectibles" plans to stock a multitude of "popular and hard-to-find items" including Master Arms, Play Arts, and Mechanical Arts spanning various series, from Final Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts. Clearly, Square Enix has seen that someone, somewhere is making money selling its products. The immediate consequence will likely find many third-party vendors competing for profits with Square Enix itself. The Online Store

  • Squeenix wishes Final Fantasy a happy anniversary, demands more money
    franklin.PNGAs was promised some time ago, Square Enix has recently announced its intent to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of everyone's most favorite of RPG releasing them again! Confused? You should be! It seems that Dawn of Souls, now aged some three years, will be coming to the PSP in 2007--split into two separate titles, each with its own equally fulfilling retail price! Get ready to enjoy the same two games you've already enjoyed two different ways, now with a new aspect ratio! Yeah! Scans

  • Final Fantasy on AOL Radio: It's Back
    0628.pngAfter a long hiatus, Square Enix and AOL Radio have announced the return of Final Fantasy to the ears of AOL mongers everywhere. Daishiro Okada, Chief Operating Officer of Square Enix, was very excited: "We feel so fortunate to have such a loyal following and want to give a huge 'thank you' for their efforts to bring back FINAL FANTASY radio," he said on Monday.   • Final Fantasy I & II ported to Game Boy Advance
    fforigins.gifAccording to Shonen Jump, Square will be releasing a Game Boy Advance port of the revised versions of Final Fantasy I & II, released last year as Final Fantasy Origins. Final Fantasy I & II will have a few extras, including an extra dungeon in I and a new story sequence in II. While the title will have a Japanese release of July, there is no word yet on an international release.
