- E3 2007 - Square Enix to bring online store stateside
In addition to its E3 lineup announcement, Square Enix has revealed its scheme to open a North American online store. Square Enix, as a self-described "premiere [maker] of high end-collectibles" plans to stock a multitude of "popular and hard-to-find items" including Master Arms, Play Arts, and Mechanical Arts spanning various series, from Final Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts. Clearly, Square Enix has seen that someone, somewhere is making money selling its products. The immediate consequence will likely find many third-party vendors competing for profits with Square Enix itself. The Online Store
- Final Fantasy III Game Boy port apparently still under consideration
According to The Magic Box, Square is still considering a Game Boy Advance port of the Wonderswan version of Final Fantasy III, despite ten months of consideration.
- Square considering FFIII for Wonderswan
Despite Steven Wilson's confirmation that Square canned the Wonderswan release of Final Fantasy III last July, Bandi is reportedly petitioning for Square to release the title, regardless of Square's worries of quality and Wonderswan's pending discontinuation.
- Final Fantasy III remake planned for GameBoy Advance
Several sources have claimed that Square confirmed a remake of Final Fantasy III for the GameBoy Advance in the latest issue of V-Jump (a Japanese magazine). A remake of FFIII was in development for the WonderSwan Color, but Square removed all information about the WSC remake from its website, as noted previously.
