The village town where Shu and Kluke make their home is plagued once a year by the appearance of pestilential purple clouds... the children are helpless against the threat, until they are beckoned by a mysterious voice, They are led to discover three magic orbs that turn their shadows into powerful allies in the fight against the mysterious purple menace.Blue Dragon is the premiere RPG by Hironobu Sakaguchi's game development house Mistwalker. The bestselling XBox 360 RPG will be headed stateside in August, replete with the voice acting of such respected voice actors as Tara Strong and Mona Marshall.

- Blue Dragon downloadable content promises "impossible" odds
Content seeking to challenge fans of Mistwalker's premier RPG, Blue Dragon, is now available for download on Xbox Live. Those dissatisfied with the game's pre-packaged difficulty can acquire the "Ultra Hard Mod" free of charge. Upgrades include Hard mode, which grants the player access to a difficulty setting twice as challenging as Normal, and Impossible: an arrangement intended for characters level 50 and above. In addition, players can now begin a new file using data from near the end of the game, courtesy of the Game Plus feature.
- Blue Dragon speaks American
The first in-game footage of Blue Dragon's North American localization has hit the web. GameTrailers.com has posted three brief video sequences depicting the turn-based battles and in-game voice acting found in the upcoming Mistwalker RPG. Listening to the dialog, you may recognize a voice or two, as the character actors are veterans of such Square titles as Final Fantasy X, Advent Children, and Brave Fencer Musashi. Cutscenes
- Tara Strong to voice Kluke in Blue Dragon
Tara Strong, who performed the role of Rikku in Final Fantasy X-2, is currently at work voicing the character of Kluke in Blue Dragon. "I love playing 'Kluke,'" the veteran voice actor says. "She's cute and strong and different." The game is produced by Final Fantasy creator Hironobu Sakaguchi and features Chrono Trigger character designer Akira Toriyama, as well as music by Nobuo Uematsu. Q&A

The latest entry in Nobuo Uematsu's ouvre, the two-disc soundtrack for Blue Dragon, is now on sale in Japan.
