Square Pictures plans three new movies |

Banking on the anticipated success of the Final Fantasy Movie, Square has signed a deal with Sony-owned Columbia Pictures to split both the profits and costs of three further major motion pictures. The arrangement will see Square handling the production of the movies, while Columbia will handle manufacturing and distribution.
Square's current venture into the the world of feature films, the Final Fantasy movie, costs Square an estimated $115 million to produce. It is expected in theaters worldwide by next summer.
