Triton Labs developing wireless GBA linking solution Triton Labs, creator of the Afterburner Game Boy Advance backlight, is developing a new wireless peripheral to connect multiple GBAs. The device is named the Stealth Link and will use 2.4 GHz Bluetooth technology to seamlessly connect GBA units from a range of up to 100 feet. Splinter Cell sequel announced with online multiplayer capabilities Ubi Soft has officially announced the next installment to the Splinter Cell series, Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. The title will reportedly have a more cinematic presence than the original Splinter cell, and will also incluse a "strong online multiplayer component," whatever that means. Pandora Tomorrow is sheduled for an early 2004 release for Gamecube, PS2, Xbox, PC, and Turbografix 16. Gamespot
Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles soundtrack Alongside new details of Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles' gameplay, involving info regarding the Crystal Bucket (tm), Squenix also decided to mention that the title's 2-disc soundtrack for the game will go on sale in Japan on 30 July for $27. Nintendo considers Wind Waker sequel The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker director Eiji Aonuma offered some insight on a Wind Waker sequel in a recent C&VGinterview. Aonuma gave little away but did sort of confirm the actual existence of the title, stating that "I am hoping to have a playable version ready by next year's E3." Aonuma also offered that the sequel would make use of the very same gaming engine and the cel-shading graphical style of the original Wind Waker. C&VG
Sony unveils PlaystationX As a company now seemingly interested in blowing everyone's minds with crazy new announcements, Sony revealed the PlaystationX today (effectively making everyone's use of the PSX acronym to describe the original Playstation useless) - a console not to be targeted for the videogame industry, nor to be published by SCE. The unit will integrate games, music, and movies by building on PS2 technology and coming with a DVD writer and 120gb disk drive, along with the ability to download media from the internet.
