Hanjuku Hero 4 website launches As a testament to Japanese oddity..err..unique interests, the offical website for Square Enix''s Hanjuko Hero has launched in anticipation of Hanjuko Hero 4''s trailer presentation at the Tokyo Game Show and further reference to Hanjuko Hero vs 3D. The site appears to include details concerning the "Egg monster competition" and an adorable photo of a character in a crown instructing me to go bash myself. Somebody please tell me what the hell is going on.
Dragon Quest VIII release date; will be playable at TGS According to Dengeki Playstation, a Japanese publication, Dragon Quest VIII will be playable at this year''s Tokyo Game Show. Up until now, Dragon Quest VIII had been absent from Square Enix''s TGS lineup. Also, while Square Enix shows a winter release for Dragon Quest, different Japanese retailers have been listing the game with a November 27th release date.
Romancing Saga: Minstrel Song is Kawazu's new project Kawazu's new title seems to also have been unveiled in Famitsu as a remake of the 1992 SNES outing, Romancing SaGa. With more illustrations by Tomomi Kobayashi, also responsible for artwork for previous instances of the SaGa series including the recently globally trashed Unlimited SaGa and completely new graphics and gameplay, Minstrel Song proves to be your latest addition to the Square Enix cash-in-on-old-trademarks branch. Square Enix announces Dirge of Cerberus: Final Fantasy VII The last trademark we didn''t know what to assign to has been followed through on by Square Enix: it''s the rumoured Final Fantasy VII spin-off starring Vincent, Dirge of Cerberus. Aside from a scan from Famitsu portraying him, the game logo, and some screenshots, nothing is known other than that it will be released for PS2 in 2005 and takes place one year after the events in Advent Children. This is the "sequel" we wanted. Or is it?
