I'm thinking of getting on Final Fantasy XI (finally) once I get a bit of income. does anyone here still play on it? I had the beta version so I remember it a little (I think this was like three years ago or something) but I'll be a total newbie and will have basically no knowledge of anything. I dont know, it all depends on if I can even afford it once I get working again. |

I just gave up, a few days ago and this is the 2nd time I've put the game down. A lot of it has to do with a lack of money, but to be honest the game was really starting to bore me. Apparently it gets a lot better when you can party (around level 10), and I didn't make that. Give it a shot though, you don't have to pay for years, just try it for a month or two. |

My cousin's giving me a world pass. I can't get it until I get moved back into my place and have my computer back (I've been on a shitty laptop for six months now blah) I think I'm definately in. |

Oh god no.
Honestly the only real fun I've had in FFXI comes from feelings of schadenfreude:
- "Stealing" monsters that drop rare items right under the noses of lame-ass high-level douchebags who don't even need it except to level up their seventh or eighth job to 75
- ...

Xavi was wrong; this game hates you forever. This game is irredeemably broken and SE won't do jack about it except laugh at all the suckers who pay $12.95+ every month and try to convince themselves that they're having fun.

I still play. And I'm on Fenrir as well. So if you wanna get together and taunt Rachel sometime let me know. :) As for the antics of the game, as long as your happy with what your doing who cares if others die in your wake? |
