Eminence, which has brought us several concerts featuring game music and a home to our very own Nephtis has recently announced an upcoming set of performances which strives to rival their previous engagements in both scope and sheer star power. Curious? Read on.
"Passion", their most recent opus, brought the concert organization Eminence a definite degree of recognition. With the appearances of big names including Hitoshi Sakimoto and none other than Yasunori Mitsuda himself, the concert evenings were a delight for fans and a triumph for orchestral game music performance.

Now, Eminence has announced "A Night in Fantasia 2007: Symphonic Games Edition". The first part of a concert series cleaved in half to allow for separate game and animé music performances, the upcoming late April shows hone in on the more ludic aspects of popular culture and snag some incredible talent to enhance their performance environments.

Chief among these is Yoko Shimomura, most notably responsible for the Kingdom Hearts series, as well as titles going back as far as Super Mario RPG. Of course, this is nothing to say of Hitoshi Sakimoto and Yasunori Mitsuda, who, having made such a splash at "Passion", return to attend the Night in Fantasia performances. Junichi Nakatsuru (Soul Calibur series, Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War) and Masaru Shiina (Tales of Legendia and Tekken: Dark Resurrection) will also make an appearance.

Altogether, it seems to be a well constructed event featuring some of the biggest names and music in the industry. Attendance is likely a good move, if only just to touch Yasunori Mitsuda. Just once, maybe on the shoulder.

For more information, head on over to the Eminence website, which can be found here.

So, this Night In Fantasia, has it already happen? or is it going to be held? and if so, where will it be? this definitely sounds like something great.
