Harmony is realized in this alternate tale of FINAL FANTASY XIII. Not a merely a sequel, but a wholly independent story unfolding in a different world with different characters. Under development by team Kingdom Hearts and directed by Tetsuya Nomura. Yoko Shimomura is doing the soundtrack.
Seen above are a couple of Final Fantasy Versus XIII character artworks which include a new face. Upon closer inspection, one may also note that everyone in this title appears to shop at Cloud Strife's Sword Emporium. Damn, Nomura. Just...damn.
E3 2007 - Square Enix to bring online store stateside In addition to its E3 lineup announcement, Square Enix has revealed its scheme to open a North American online store. Square Enix, as a self-described "premiere [maker] of high end-collectibles" plans to stock a multitude of "popular and hard-to-find items" including Master Arms, Play Arts, and Mechanical Arts spanning various series, from Final Fantasy to Kingdom Hearts. Clearly, Square Enix has seen that someone, somewhere is making money selling its products. The immediate consequence will likely find many third-party vendors competing for profits with Square Enix itself. The Online Store
Versus XIII tidbits surface Motomu Toriyama mentioned in an interview with Dengeki Online that the upcoming Playstation 3 action RPG Final Fantasy Versus XIII will run on the White Engine designed by Yoshinori Kitase's development team. Reportedly, character designer Tetsuya Nomura aims to create fight scenes reminiscent of Advent Children. The story will involve a yet unrevealed heroine and a silver-haired protagonist. The latter, heir to the throne of the last kingdom to possess a sacred crystal, sports eyes that glow red during battle. Toriyama, director of Final Fantasy XIII, also hinted that a trailer for his title revealing new characters will appear sometime soon. RPGFan
